BABES/SBE LUNCHEON ON WEDNESDAY Jan 31th

Our speaker this month will be Steve Lampen of Belden Wire and Cable who will tell us the truth about audio cables. He might also mention that every time the word "wireless" is invoked, some cable salesman has a smile on his face.

As usual, our luncheon will be at Sinbad's just south of the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero near the foot of Mission St. We meet at 11:30 and are seated at 12:30.

Retired
Yes, it's true. I've retired after 22 years at KRON-TV and nearly 45 years in the business. There are some things I'll miss. I was next in line to work the brassiere checkroom on the Jenny Jones show. And I enjoyed going out to the trailer parks with a cattle prod to round up the talk show guests.
